Office of Water Quality Intranet
Automated Correction Loader (ACL)Automated Correction Loader (ACL) is UNIX-based software that automatically computes and uploads water-quality (WQ) corrections to ADAPS. As users lock site visits, ACL retrieves water-quality data from NWIS SiteVisit and computes fouling and drift errors. The errors are compared to TM1-D3 criteria and loaded to ADAPS automatically. The user receives an email for every site visit that ACL processes. Users are encouraged to evaluate the data corrections as part of the continuous records process for WQ records. ACL is a component of the Continuous Water Quality Committee's (CWQC) recommended path for WQ records. ACL was developed by Eric Kerner, Steve Brady, and Pat Rasmussen (USGS, Lawrence, KS), with support from the CWQC. It is expected that the upcoming release of AQUARUIS will either accommodate or supersede ACL. ![]() Figure 1.
