During the ITAC town meeting this week in PA, we had a question about the adaption of your site selection software for the new version of ARC. I believe Scott Hoffman, that asked the question, had talked or emailed you. Could you explain what kind of timeline, if any, exist for you to be able to do this, or what skills and levels of effort do you think would be needed to do this?

Description of Action Item: Sandy Williamson will contact the Office of Surface Water regarding the HSPF QW model comments from the PA District town meeting and report back to ITAC and the PA District.

During the ITAC town meeting this week in PA, we had a question about the support for models like HSPF. The person felt like HSPF had some rough edges and the documentation was incomplete. I know that we do no have enough resources to support HASS. Status of AI/Comment: update on 08/16/03 -- Scott McEwen clarified that there is need for a Cyber Seminar for Publications for District Chiefs, Studies Chief, Reports Chiefs and SAs. This seminar would include best practices for publications information infrastructure (hardware and software) in the Districts. Issues include font types, software installation tip sheets, etc..)COMPLETED

Description of Action Item: Jessie and Tim Brown will develop guidelines for SAs, to help them prepare for a DMZ migration, if they determine they will not be able to use the Bureau consolidated ftp and web solutions. These guidelines will be reviewed by NWIS Security and sent out by the RCSers.

Description of Action Item: Susan will have Ernest Dreyer send an email to Randy and ITAC to describe the enhancements to DECODES that are going to be worked on. (This is because Susan wasn't sure that she understood Randy's question --so she wanted the expert to give Randy/ITAC a short summary). This summary will be added to the next official NWIS status note that is sent out (date to be determined later).
