The new java-based DECODES handles data from DCPs, but not all data from EDLs. ( The basic decoding is there, but handling the various ways that EDLs can be programmed to time-tag data is not, e.g. some EDLs can be programmed to store the date at the end of the day instead of with each value. ) Because the COE is currently using DECODES only for DCPs, they have already started deploying it. I am initiating a contract to complete the EDL decoding. When this has been completed and throughly tested, the java-based DECODES will be ready to include in a NWIS release.
