The Farm Irrigation Types dialog box is used to specify the names and properties of the irrigation types. The Farm Crop Properties dialog box is displayed by selecting Model|Farm Process|Farm Irrigation Types...
For each irrigation type specified, an integer global variable will be created whose name is the name of the irrigation type and whose value is the number of that irrigation type. Those global variables can be used wherever you need to specify an irrigation type.
Besides the names of the irrigation types, the Farm Irrigation Types dialog box can be used to specify EVAPORATION_IRRIGATION_FRACTION and SURFACEWATER_LOSS_FRACTION_IRRIGATION both of which are part of the LAND_USE block of the FMP4 input file. To edit these, the LIST and BY_IRRIGATE option for them must be specified in the MODFLOW Packages and Programs dialog box.
EVAPORATION_IRRIGATION_FRACTION is the fraction of a cropped area that is irrigated but is not covered by a crop. See also the discussion of EVAPORATION_IRRIGATION_FRACTION in the help for the LAND_USE block in the MODFLOW Packages and Programs dialog box.
SURFACEWATER_LOSS_FRACTION_IRRIGATION: indicates the fraction of inefficient losses from irrigation that go to surface water compared to deep percolation.. If PEST is activated, PEST parameters may be used to specify EVAPORATION_IRRIGATION_FRACTION and SURFACEWATER_LOSS_FRACTION_IRRIGATION.
