1990 TIGER/Line Block Group Boundaries and 1990 Population for 1994 NAWQA Study Units

The 1994 NAWQA study unit boundaries used to clip the block groups were the study unit boundaries available during autumn of 1994. If the NAWQA study unit boundaries have been changed since then, they will not match the boundaries used in this set of coverages.

A coverage of 1990 generalized block group boundaries for the conterminous United States also is available.

[If you need to update block group boundaries for a 1994 study unit or if you need to compile block group boundaries for a 1997 study unit, you will need block group boundaries by state (these have no associated population data) and 1990 population data. Or you could use the coverage of GIRAS land use updated with 1990 population prepared for the study unit. These have polygons identified by block group. Dissolve on BGI to derive the block group boundaries.]
