The Cross Sections pane is on the Data Visualization dialog box. It can only be used with MODFLOW models and only with data sets that contain real-number data.
The Cross Sections pane allows the user to select one or more data sets to plot as cross sections. If a data set is plotted as a cross section, its value will be interpreted as an elevation and then be used to plot a line or lines on the front or side view of the model. Not all data sets are suitable for plotting as cross sections. Examples of data sets that are suitable include heads, the water table and Zeta surfaces from the Seawater Intrusion package.
To plot a data set as a cross section, select it in the list on the left and either double-click on it or click the right-arrow button to add it to the list of Data sets to plot on the right. If the data set is a 3D data set, the Layers to plot can be used to select individual layers to be plotted. The width of the lines in pixels used to draw the cross sections can be set in the Line thickness edit box.
