Project Summary: Western Lake Erie Basin (WLEB) has harmful algal blooms (HABs) issues due to increased total phosphorus (TP) and soluble reactive phosphorus (SRP) loads from agriculture. To reduce phosphorus load into Lake Erie, we are proposing an innovative best management practice selection and understanding of characteristics of critical source areas within River Rasin by coupling artificial intelligence (AI) and water quality modeling. The outcomes of this study will disseminate through IWR symposium, Western Lake Erie Basin Conference at Adrian, Michigan, and other conferences to various stakeholders in Michigan
