Project Summary: This project proposes to update long-term (e.g. end-of-century) projections of the 7Q10 streamflow indicator metric in light of potential changes in regional weather patterns and climatic variables including temperature and precipitation. The 7Q10 metric refers to the minimum 7-day average streamflow likely to occur with a frequency of once in 10 years, and its accurate estimation and long-term projection is critical for drought planning and in assessment of drought resilience in the state. This study will focus on the critical Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint (ACF) River Basin, but the methodology would be broadly applicable to any watershed in the state of Georgia.
