Project Summary: Permanent supportive housing combines living facilities with social support services to mitigate homelessness; however, daily well-being checks can be invasive and compromise privacy. We aim to use smart water meter data to monitor water-use behaviors as an alternative approach for monitoring well-being. Smart water meter data can reveal useful information about residential water end uses at specific fixtures and appliances. We will usedata from water-use events to detect abnormal water-use conditions and create feedback alerts that inform supportive services of possible needed interventions. These expected results can be piloted in permanent supportive housing to reduce in-person wellness checks, maintain privacy, and improve well-being
