Project Summary: Guam field photos of geologic exploration from a historic collection that was used for assessments and investigations at specific sites in the island are of great value for research and historic references. These valuable field photos need to be organized into an easily accessible database that would be readily available online. Recent development of MAppFx products have made interactive data visualization as a database system that has been proven to be of great value with CNMI and Guam. This new MAppFX database system idea will feature an online interactive web map of Guam, overlaid with polygon map features based on the geologic map of Guam and points as geologic and hydrologic investigation sites. Interactive, upon selection of the polygon feature, a photo gallery of examples of rock photos are made available. Likewise for points, a web page opens with a brief field information of the site and a gallery of all the photos taken in the area. WERI has more than 20 years of collected field photos that can be valuable for research and reference of sites throughout the island. The MAppFx product and interactive interface makes searching and investigating sites truly useful for anyone studying the Northern Guam Lens Aquifer or the Southern Guam Watersheds.
