Project Summary: The main goal of this project is to develop a model to simulate the root zone soil water dynamics and evapotranspiration in water-limited conditions. Additionally, to understand the relationship between soil water dynamics and soil health parameters to support sustainable forage production in semi-arid environments. This project will develop and validate methods for soil water conservation through scientific testing and use them to evaluate management practices that promote saving groundwater, provide sustainable crop production, and ensure the economic viability of cropping systems in water-limited environments.
