Project Summary: Knowledge Transfer and Awareness: Dissemination and outreach are important goals of this project. Results of this project will be shared with all participants. The presentations of the conference will be posted to the Rhode Island Water Resources web site on Clean Water. The WEB page will contain important information on the conference and information presented at the conference. Its WEB page will also act as a host for the summer workshop. The schedule and program will be posted including a description of the summer camp and the lesson plans used. The lessons plans will be offered to interested high school teachers. High School teachers at the schools will be invited to participate. The audience for the conference will involve clean water professionals, graduate, undergraduate, and high school students, faculty and administrators. The justifications for the project include the promotion of opportunity for collaboration and synergy between clean water professionals of Rhode Island, to involve students in these opportunities, and to promote clean water careers for high school students.
