Abstract: The overall objective of this project is to test the utility of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) for assessing the impact and effectiveness of streambank stabilization (SBS) projects along the Cottonwood River. Specific goals include: 1. Quantifying geomorphic changes (e.g., channel planform and streambank morphology) over time. 2. Estimating volumes of sediment eroded at SBS sites over time. 3. Evaluating the accuracy of UAS imaging products (e.g., orthorectified images and digital terrain models).
