Abstract: The mission statement of the CTIWR includes education of the public regarding water resource issues. To help fulfill this objective, the Institute has a Technology Transfer Program that supports a number of ongoing efforts involving information and/or technology transfer. Examples include support of seminars, conferences, general dissemination of water related information and publication of special reports related to CTIWR on its web site. The project also may include special projects such as the development of educational materials for local officials. All of these activities are funded through the Institute's 104B grant under the general framework of "Water Resources Technology Transfer Program" of the National Institutes of Water Resources (NIWR). The 5 year reviews by NIWR of each institute includes evaluations of technology transfer and education. Technology Transfer activities conducted each fiscal year vary depending on available funds determined by research and other projects funded.
