Project Summary: This research will develop, evaluate, and document a method for treating runoff (surface and tile) between the edge of field and streams in the Western Lake Erie Basin using an phosphorus optimized treatment train. Three possible scenarios include installing treatment trains in county ditches, private ditches, and as replacement to subsurface tile mains. A treatment train might include vegetation, slope modifications, in‐bed filter materials, and subsurface flow modifications.
