Project Summary: The objective of this research is to characterize the impact of green infrastructure internal variability and placement on existing grey infrastructure performance during different types of storms. This research objective can be further divided into three tasks: 1. Characterize modular green infrastructure performance within a reliability framework, 2. Probabilistically assess the spatial characterization of green infrastructure placement with respect to the performance of existing sewersheds, and 3. Understand and assess the incorporation of risk-defined paradigms into urban planning policy.
