Project Summary: The Georgia Water Resources Conference (GWRC) has been held for the past 30 years at the University of Georgia. It has traditionally been a very high-profile event attracting a wide range of water researchers from Georgia and the southeastern U.S., policy makers from across the U.S., university students, and the general public. Recent changes at the University of Georgia have diverted full-time faculty and staff away from organizing the GWRC in an effective manner. The purpose of this proposal is to provide funding for a portion of the salary of a postdoctoral associate at the University of Georgia who will be dedicated to coordinating the 2017 GWRC.
