Project Summary: The WRRC’s Information Transfer Program will continue to produce its major component products in 2016. These include the Arizona Water Resource (AWR) and Arroyo newsletters, and the Weekly Wave, an e-update on WRRC activities and other water news. The next in the Arroyo series will be printed and distributed in Spring 2016 on the topic of potable reuse of water. Water banking, recharge and recovery is the topic selected for the 2017 Arroyo. The WRRC’s Annual Conference for 2016, #AZwaterfuture: Tech, Talk and Tradoffs, will be held on March 21 and will showcase innovations in technology, communication, and policy that affect water resources in Arizona and the Southwest. Brown Bag seminars will continue to be presented and include offsite stakeholders through live webcasts via Go-to Meeting, a publicly available webinar platform. The website will get a new look and functionality. The new web site will be mobile friendly. The "Beyond the Mirage" project, a collaboration with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, will complete development of an interactive, guided but self-directed web-based learning experience for comprehensive exploration of water issues through hundreds of brief video clips. Collaborations will continue with the Water Sustainability Program (WSP), now a part of the Water, Environmental and Energy Solutions Initiative, and with Arizona Project WET (Water Education for Teachers). Ongoing programs of research, engagement, and outreach will continue or be expanded.
