Project Summary: The information transfer program of the Water and Energy Research Institute of the Western Pacific was designed to provide information on water related issues for diverse groups ranging from research scientists, water resources related agency personnel, science teachers, students, and concerned citizens of Guam and the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands (CNMI). The following describes several activities aimed and increasing the availability of the USGS sponsored research: 1) Layout and printing five technical completion reports resulting from USGS funded research projects. 2) The WERI web site serves as one of the primary information dissemination mediums of the institute. The site is designed to provide important information on all of the functions of the Institute. WERI will continue to update the Web site: http://www.weriguam.org , and 3) Because of Guam remote location it is difficult and quite costly for researchers to present their finding at technical conference s and symposiums. This project will fund a portion of travel expenses for any PI or his graduate student presenting a refereed professional paper summarizing all or a portion of current 104B research.
