Abstract: The Pennsylvania Water Resources Research Center will: 1) co-sponsor conference activities, and 2) offer pre-K to 12 classroom water outreach programs. Conference activities include the Pennsylvania Groundwater Symposium (May 2014); Water Systems, Science, and Society Under Global Change (June 2014), and The Future of Mid-Atlantic Water Supply and Infrastructure (September 2014). Further, PA-WRRC provide ten “let’s talk about water” educational outreach programs, focusing on integrated science, technology, and math (STEM) education principles. Graduate and undergraduate interns will staff booths at local events, will offer programs in classrooms of local public schools, and will host classes to visit water labs on the Penn State campus.
