Project Summary: An important component of the Arkansas Water Resources Center (AWRC) mission is the transfer of water resources information to the user community within Arkansas and the region including researchers, resource planners and managers, environmental consultants, environmental advocacy entities, lawyers, and the general public. The AWRC accomplishes this in four primary modes including 1) an annual water resources conference; 2) newsletter; 3) distribution of AWRC library materials on request; and 4) maintenance of the AWRC Website including a significant portion of the library which has been converted to electronic format. This project will continue the active information that the AWRC has established and maintained since its inception in 1964. In addition the AWRC will also contribute to the Citizens Studying Streams Program in the Beaver Lake Watershed in partnership with Audubon Arkansas and Beaver Water District. The intention of this project will focus on teaching concepts, building skills and facilitating communication between the next generation of citizen scientist serving the Beaver Lake Watershed.
