Project Summary: Though using greywater for irrigation is an expanding technology, there is currently not enough information available on how the chemical composition of greywater effects plant growth and visual quality. This research will measure the effect of greywater application rates on growth and survival of selected landscape and green roof plants and provide for the testing of university campus greywater sources to determine a basis for future greywater reuse on campus. Greywater reuse technology is receiving more attention and acceptance as a green building Technique, and shows potential for use in sustainable landscapes and green roof systems.
