Abstract: The impact of 100-year floodplain designations on residential property values in Omaha will be quantified in order to generate accurate estimates of the economic losses associated with pending changes to FEMA floodplain maps. The impact of man-made lake view amenities on property values will be measured to determine fair market prices to charge for residential lots with lake views. The impact of alternative types of Low Impact Development Designs (for stormwater management) on single-family housing values will be measured in order to help determine which types of LID sub-division designs should be promoted.
