Abstract: The proposed three-year research project will evaluate the impact of weather modification on streamflow, including the impacts from watershed antecedent moisture conditions (soil moisture) and air temperature. Statistically (regression) based relationships will be developed for snowpack and streamflow in regions targeted for weather modification, quantifying increased streamflow as a result of increased snowpack due to weather modification. Alternative (non-parametric and regression) statistical methods will be evaluated for forecasting streamflow using snowpack.
