Project Summary: The University of Arizona WRRC will continue with its extremely popular series of yearly conferences. The highly acclaimed Arizona Water Resource newsletter is another component of WRRC outreach. In addition to conferences, newsletters and seminars, to facilitate the exchange of information between water experts and water information users through community outreach, WRRC personnel are called upon regularly to give lectures and make presentations to diverse audiences. WRRCs Arizona Project WET (Water Education for Teachers) program reaches out to teachers and students throughout Arizona by providing interactive in-service workshops, and through its annual Water Festivals that are held throughout the state. Drought, water availability, border water issues and Colorado River concerns keep public interest in state water issues high. The WRRC responds to many inquiries for information related to these issues. The WRRC utilizes the internet as another tool to inform the public. Papers and presentations made by its staff as well as other important documents, such as working papers and research reports, will be posted on the WRRC webpage.
