Project Summary: This project aims to develop an environmentally benign, cost-effective process for effective removal and complete destruction of perchlorate in drinking water from affected Alabamasources. A new class of novel sorbents, referred to as polymeric ligand exchangers or PLE will be prepared and characterized. Water from three Alabama sites of national caliber will be tested in the research.
