Project Summary: Stream restoration is a preferred watershed restoration technique in the Piedmont of the Christina Basin in northern Delaware and Southeastern Pennsylvania. But little field data exists that evaluates the success of this best management practice. The two states are working together to implement a watershed restoration strategy in accordance with Total Maximum Daily Loads that may be imposed under the Clean water Act. The research is designed to gather data on stream restoration techniques that might be most successful in the forested, hilly, and rocky piedmont which is characteristic of Christina Basin.
