2012 National Water Data Conference

The 2012 National Water Data Conference, sponsored by WestDAC, will be held in Portland, Oregon on September 24-27, 2012. There will be in-depth training opportunities all day Monday. Formal conference presentations will take place all day Tuesday through Thursday. The agenda will be geared toward USGS personnel involved in hydrologic data collection, though invitations are extended nationwide to anyone involved in data. Through numerous presentations, workshops, poster sessions, and vendor exhibits, the conference will provide information on the latest technologies used in the collection and processing of hydrologic data.

The objective of this training is to ensure that science excellence and integrated science opportunities are woven into program development and achievement. The training will help improve the scientific excellence, societal relevance, and operational efficiency of data programs through training, exposure to innovations, and networking with scientists from other Water Science Centers and USGS disciplines. This training program promotes interagency as well as international hydrologic data excellence in Stream flow, Groundwater, and Water-Quality data.

Questions about registration, hotel reservations, training, and the agenda can be directed to Jon Ferguson (jeferg@usgs.gov) or Stacie Young (stmyoung@usgs.gov).
