Hello All,
I am proceeding with the documentation on the buy. I have completed the Technology Investment Analysis document, a competition worksheet with 3 quotes, and the requisition. I will provide that along with the Dell quote and the verbiage that is required for use of the coupon. I have determined that we are looking at 165 (if we have 140K) desktop systems and will work with Pat to have all of the needed documentation in place. What started as an "ideal use plan" for a refund coupon of around 30K has turned into an action that could benefit the computer users our Division immensely. The addition of funds to the initial 30K provides us with the ability to distribute a significant number of desktops to sites that are in the most need or to combine that with a goal of targeting the complete replacement of all currently-in-use DG desktops.
I believe that we should proceed by putting the purchase order in and we can work to refine the list of sites, contacts, addresses, and counts of systems per site for the distribution based upon the final agreed-upon model for the distribution. I am including the spec on the system that I have selected. I can provide the word document for the TIA and the FrameMaker documents for the competition worksheet and the DI-1 to those who will be helping me with this procurement.
