Accommodations:
A block of 20 rooms has been reserved at SpringHill Suites (Marriott) in downtown Anchorage. The rooms will be held for Monday, 6/21/04, through Wednesday, 6/23/04 (3 nights). Specific information follows:

Please make your room reservation request via e-mail to Megan Bowring (megan.bowring@nana.com) by Wed., 3/31/04. The block of rooms are under the name of U.S. Geological Survey. Megan prefers to be contacted by e-mail. If any of you have any qualms about transmitting your credit card information this way, you may e-mail her your request for the reservation, and then call her with your credit card info at the following phone number: (907) 729-0604.

Hotel Amenities: Each studio suite has a large work desk with multiple data ports, mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and wet bar. We also have an iron and ironing board, and individually controlled air units. All rooms have a pull-out sofa bed, and the double rooms have 2 TVs. Enjoy a splash in the heated pool or whirlpool and get your daily exercise on the treadmill or stair machine. Complimentary continental breakfast served daily in the breakfast lounge. Airport shuttle service complimentary 24-hours daily.

- Driving directions from Ted Stevens International Airport, Anchorage, to SpringHill Suites (about a 5-mile/8-minute drive)
- Driving directions from the SpringHill Suites to the Alaska District Office in Anchorage (about a 2-mile/6-minute drive).
Per Helen Richards, the AK District Chief's Secretary,"a car is a must." If you are renting a car for the meeting, please e-mail both Kim Martz (kimmartz) and me your car rental information so that we can post it onto the ITAC Web site. This also goes for your flight information.
