• Optional Field Trip -- Anchorage Meeting
  (Day trip company suggested by the AK district chief.)

  • Several ITAC Members, including myself, Jeff Stoner, Sonya Jones, Susan Trapanese and Marilyn Billone are going to participate in a 1/2 day glacier boat tour.

  • Total cost of the boat trip is $89 - -this lower price is due to the fact that we are driving to Whittier rather than using the train or bus -- including tax and the cost includes a lunch of fish or chicken.

  • For your consideration... Thursday ITAC meeting will end around 10 AM.

  • Note that if you decide to go, call and make a reservation - don't use your government credit card for this... :

    7 AM to 10 AM	ITAC Meeting
    10 AM to 11:30 AM	Drive to Whittler, where boat departs.
    11:30 AM	Tunnel Opening (there is a toll) (Opening is every hour on the half hour in the direction of Whittler.)
    1 PM to 5: 30 PM	Boat to Glaciers
    5:30 PM	Return to Anchorage

• AO Replacement -- Donna Hecor, AO has agreed. ITAC members agree.

• Agenda for Alaska -- Do we do it now?

  • NWISWeb briefing by Joe Kalfsbeek
  • Brian McCallum's paper on limitations of current real-time hydrologic data delivery system.
  • Selecting a next term RCSer. We also may have a RCS issue. An agenda item for AK will be to select a next term Rcser.
  • 1% Overhead Increase: Is this going to APS or GIO? Kevin Gallagher and Katherine Lins

• Sonya invited Dru Burks (Western Region GIO) to the meeting and he will be attending.
  In addition, Terri Moore will attend as WR representative RCS to learn more about the RCS role.

• Web enabled presentations

  Sandy Williamson demoed a very impressive and cost effective Web conferencing tool- WebX. USGS personnel have been spending considerable FTE resources in assisting in Cyber Seminars and this tool appears to be easier to use and very impressive -- as well as available on the GSA schedule through Intercall. This tool should be considered for all USGS to replace Sametime

• Request a presentation from ASC on how an integrated center works, emphasis on IT. (Lins)
