Status of AI/Comment: 3/9/04 update-- Scott finalized the email draft on 2/13/04 and distributed it to ITAC for review. Jeff Stoner commented: "This could be sent as a highlight from the ITAC summary notes from the Feb 2004 meeting. I think this would have significant impact if sent at least a week before the national USGS managers meeting of March 29th 2004. If the ITAC summary minutes cannot be ready by then, by all means the ITAC chair should zip this note out by that time." (Reference email thread)

3/9/04 update-- 3/12/04 update-- Before it goes out, Katherine gave to Paul Exter for review. Can go out now. Scott made more changes. Are we comfortable with it now? Should be sent out independently as is; not with ITAC minutes. Don't wait for Paul's GIO memo.Needs to include where to go to for more information. Will list RCSers first. Katherine agrees about not waiting for GIO memo. It shouldn't come from OWI, but from Chair of ITAC. Scott will send Sonya final version (from earlier today). Put text into the e-mail; not an attachment. Sonya will send this out. (Reference Scott's 3/12/04 e-mail.) Discussion on word change: Districts "must" consider (re: Windows). Leave as it is? All agreed. ITAC Chair doesn't give directives. Q:Refer to e-mail today, 3/12/04. Scott struck a section...
