  • USGS Web Presence Plan / Registration? And how the USGS will deal with the bureau web council?

• Collaborative Communications Team - Pattie Damon

• MS Active Directory AD deployment - Paul Exter (over the phone from Raleigh)

• NWIS Update - Susan Trapanese

  • Roles of the RCSers with respect to their roles with the Regional GIOs
  • NWISWeb - servers at each local site? Consolidation plan? Internal and public servers? Response / delivery time of local server vs. NatWeb server? Pros and cons of specialized applications on District NWISWeb server
  • Action: Statement of position and guidance to be communicated to the District offices

• GIO IT FY04 project plan -- Tom Wood (2 hours)

  • Review the Kevin Galleghers GIO IT project plan: ITAC members should come to the meeting with concerns about the plan

• Security - Jessica Alvarez will decide if this needs to be on the agenda

  • Windows 9X machines may not be able to be connected on the LAN: transfer data will need to be by CD, Floppy, etc.
  • Action: Describe solutions for WRD Districts
  • Jessica Alvarez will track down this rumor from Ellen Erickson.
