• Steve Blanchard will start SES training next Thursday and will not be back until mid-December.
• Katherine Lins will be the Acting Chief, Office of Information until mid December.

• Action Item Review
• The ITAC members reviewed and updated the action items from the last meeting (Troy) with minor corrections.
• Harry House or Nate Booth will present a brief presentation -- and facilitate a question and answer session on the ORACLE products at the next face to face or on a cyber seminar ITAC meeting -- Topics include topics such as:
1. ORACLE portal and
2. a brand new way to handle GIS that will enable a database approach to GIS

Sandy Williamson reported that the US Forrest Service has a major science data base application.

• Mike Slifer wanted to know if the ITAC Goals for this year were approved at the last ITAC meeting -- Steve Blanchard indicated that the ITAC goals were approved at the last meeting.
• High Data Rate Data Collection Platforms
1. There was a discussion to communicate the status of the high data rate data collection platforms to WRD data chiefs with a copy to the WRD Senior Staff.

  Action Item (Jun2002.Cyber.1) - Ernie Dreyer -- will send out an email on high-data rate data collection platforms to the all Data Chiefs and a copy to the Water Senior Staff. (Note that the CC list grew to include:   District Chiefs, Office of Surface Water personnel, NWIS DBAs, SWUG members and anyone in Districts who need this status of the HDR problems. Additions added from input of ITAC and NWIS email threads.)

2. There was a discussion as to whether or not a memo from Bob Hirsch or even Chip Groat should be sent to NOAA/NESDIS about our concerns about the delays in getting the HDRs fully tested/certified--and how improvements to our National Streamflow program depends on the HDR deployment.

  Action Item (Jun2002.Cyber.2) - Ernie Dreyer -- will draft a letter to NESSDIS for Hirsch's signature.

•   Action Item (Jun2002.Cyber.3) - Mike Slifer will present an ITAC status report at the next WRD Senior Staff meeting.

Status of AI/Comment:   Completed, Ernie did not compose a letter but the communications occurred at a meeting with NDES. Ernie has been posting updates on his web page. Not all problems are fixed, this is an ongoing issue. Colleen will ask Ernie to post a status update. (per updated from 10/18/02 conference call).
