Obtaining Help When Using MFI

To make it easy to identify the specific parameters being entered, the MFI data screens describe each parameter. In addition, the help command (F1) causes a help window to be displayed. The help window provides information about the individual menu choices or data parameters of a screen. If the help information is inadequate, then the MODFLOW or MODPATH documentation should be consulted. The screen descriptions usually indicate the actual parameter names used in the MODFLOW and MODPATH input instructions. For MODFLOW, the data editing menus generally correspond to primary options in the MODFLOW documentation (McDonald and Harbaugh, 1988). Details about the data parameters can be found in the input instructions in the corresponding chapter of the documentation. For MODPATH, details about input parameters can be found in Appendix A of Pollock (1994).
