Recession-Curve Displacement Method for Estimating Groundwater Recharge In Humid RegionsTiming of Recharge"The RORA program is formulated with the assumption of recharge at the time of peaks in streamflow. The estimate of recharge is subject to uncertainty because the precise time of recharge is unknown." (Rutledge, 2000). One way of evaluating the performance of RORA is to compare days that recharge is determined by RORA with rises of the water table. Risser and others (2005b) showed the correspondence between the timing of recharge events determined by RORA with records of precipitation, fluctuations in observation wells, and percolate collected in zero-tension lysimeters. |
