The Stream Links panes are on the Data Visualization dialog box. They are used to display how the streams in the SFR and STR packages are linked to each other or to lakes. This can be helpful when checking for errors in how the linkages are set up in the SFR or STR packages. The Stream Links panes are displayed by selecting SFR Stream Links or STR Stream Links in the Data Visualization dialog box.

Links are drawn as lines between the downstream end of the upstream object and the upstream end of the downstream object. If the two are at the same location of if there is no downstream object, the links will be drawn as squares instead of lines.

If Plot outflow links is checked, the link between a stream and its outflow stream will be drawn.

If Plot diversion links is checked, the link between a stream and the stream from which flow is diverted will be drawn.

If Plot unconnected streams is checked, any stream that does not have an outflow stream will be highlighted.

If Plot invalid connections is checked, any stream that has specified a downstream segment that does not exist will be highlighted.

The color with which each type of link is plotted can be changed by clicking the button next to each checkbox.

Items to plot controls which objects are used for drawing links. By default, None is selected so that no links are displayed. Other options are All objects, Visible objects, and Selected objects.

The steam links can change between stress periods so you must also specify the time at which you wish to plot the links in Time to plot.

If a stream is linked to another stream in the same pixel, a square will be drawn to show the location of the connection. Square size sets the size of that square in pixels.
