When the user chooses to create a new model, the Initial Grid dialog box gives the user the opportunity to specify a grid with uniformly spaced columns and rows. With PHAST, the layers will also be uniformly spaced. With MODFLOW, the layers will be horizontal but the layer thicknesses will be specified by the user. With Well Footprints, the grid only contains rows and columns.
