The SFT: Stream Flow Transport Package pane is on the MODFLOW Features tab of the Object Properties dialog box.

It is used for specifying stream concentration observation locations, the initial concentration and dispersion of the stream and the concentrations of various sources of solute to the stream

The pane has five tabs

Steady tab

Observation Location (ISFNOBS) is used to specify the location along the stream at which observations of concentration will be specified. (See also the Gage tab for the SFR package.)

CINITSF represents the initial concentrations in each stream reach.

DISPSF is the dispersion coefficient [L2 T-1] for each stream reach for each simulated component.

The remaining tabs all allow the user to specify the starting and ending times along with concentrations of solute sources.

Starting time and Ending time are explained in the help for the MODFLOW Features tab.

Head Water Conc. tab.

The headwater concentration is the concentration of the first reach in a segment. typically, this would be used for streams that originates outside the modeled area and has a non-zero concentration at the point it enters the modeled area.

Precipitation Conc. tab

This is used for precipitation directly to channel with a non-zero concentration. Precipitation concentration applies to the entire stream segment.

Runoff Conc. tab

This is used for the concentration of runoff specified in the SFR package not runoff routed to the stream in the UZF package. (See the SFR Flows Tab.) Runoff concentration applies to the entire stream segment.

Constant Conc. tab

This is used to make the entire stream segment a constant concentration boundary condition.
