Summary of July 1996 revisions to the published report;
Equipment Cleaning (page 13) Additional field and laboratory testing, as well as field blanks, have confirmed that an aggressive equipment cleaning is not always required. The new instructions recommend two cleaning procedures. An aggressive laboratory cleaning for new and contaminated equipment and an abbreviated field procedure for routine cleaning. When field cleaning, leave the equipment assembled and rinse only with detergents, water, HCL, DIW, and methanol. Soaking is not necessary. See 'Equipment Cleaning' for more detail.
