Overview:

Ecological National Synthesis (ENS) links multiple lines of evidence (e.g., biological, chemical, and physical) to accomplish topical or question-driven studies at appropriate spatial and temporal scales. These studies are essential to meeting the NAWQA Programs primary goal of providing a national assessment of water-resource conditions of the Nation’s streams and rivers. The ENS Team also has responsibility for providing or coordinating technical support functions (e.g., biological data management, training, and laboratory analysis) for all NAWQA ecological studies.
