sed_summary- Summarize ADAPS and GCLAS discharge, concentration, and load data.

Information:

This review script summarizes ADAPS daily value load, concentration, and discharge data and (optionally) GCLAS sample, coefficient, estimate, and flow data for a given station/water year. It is intended to be used by hydrographers as an aid in automatically generating summary information that is often included in load parameters’ station analyses. In order to summarize GCLAS data, the script needs to be provided with a tabular GCLAS data summary that can be output by following the instructions displayed immediately after the script is started.

The results are initially displayed on screen, can be printed to the user’s default printer, and can be saved to a file, station.sed_summary.WY.txt, in the current working directory.

Where "station" = station ID of the site
        "WY" is the water year run

USAGE: sed_summary – all information will be prompted for – no command line functions currently supported.

Installation:

• Download and unzip the file to your NWIS server
• Make executable (chmod +x sed_summary)
• Run by typing 'sed_summary'. You will be prompted for everything.

• The user must be in the nwis_select access group and have Adaps read access (see your DBA).

Known Problems/Limitations/Need Improvements:

• Any number of additional summary items could be included.
• Script is currently limited to a fairly small number of parameters and has only been tested with sediment parameters. Feedback as to what other parameters may need to be supported is encouraged.
