list_age- Admin utility list non-approved daily value data in primary DDs

Information:

List_age is a review tool that scans the entire Daily Values file for a specified database number and returns information on all water years in Primary DDs that are flagged as Working (W) or In-Review (R).

Output can be sorted by water year or by station number.

You may exclude water years greater than or equal to a given year so as to ignore the current water year that you know is still working.

Possible uses:

• Run and sort by water year to find data stored future years that should be deleted.
• Run and sort by station to find data that was never set to approved.

Although the script does not have any option to screen by parameter code, that can easily be done using a grep command on the output file.

Known Problems/Limitations/Need Improvements:
There are no significant error traps nor any way to exit the program except for ctrl-c.

Installation:
This script is part of the OSW Scripts Installation package and should be installed as part of that package. Users needing the script outside of the package should send email to GS-W OSW Scripts@usgs.gov.
