Name:
get.bcards - Quickly pull unit value bcard files for use in the Graphical Constituent Loading Analysis System (GCLAS) - or for whatever other purpose you may have for them.
Information:
This script quickly pulls UV bcard files for a given water year for any number of stations using the ADAPS program outwat. These files are often used to input discharge data or other reference data such as turbidity into the GCLAS program so that constituent loads (discharges) can be computed. The script increases the speed with which bcard files can be produced by only prompting user for absolutely necessary information and allowing multiple stations to be processed at once. It should allow you to retire those old outwat tipsheets you pulled out once a year come sediment record computation time.
Script prompts user for the water year to be retrieved and then queries user for station ID, recording interval, and discharge DD for every station to be processed. Output is then placed in the current working directory and named station.DD#.wateryear.BCARD.
Where "station" = station ID of the UV data included in the file
"DD#" = Data Descriptor of the UV data included in the file
"wateryear" = water year of UV data included in the file
