Water Resources Discipline ITAC Activities

Well, here's the deal. Quote in may was $56K for 51 seats OF WEBEX PROFESSIONAL [88.67$ ea. seat per mo. ] INCLUDING about $2500 for branding and setup.
Quote in Oct. added about $12k for SSL security. TOTALING $68,700.

I told them I was given authority to spend $50K and no more, so here's their offer, which i think we should accept.
11 months instead of 12 mo. is $49,743.87. So this contract would expire about Nov. 1, 2005, just after the start of next FY, giving us plenty of time to negotiate next years contract.

branding and setup and SSL security IS INCLUDED at NO CHARGE.

Branding means the site URL will be USGS.WEBEX.COM and it will have our logo, etc.

TRAINING IN ANY OF THEIR ABOUT 50 COURSES FOR ANY OF OUR EMPLOYEES IS FREE. Glad I volunteered to handle some training. I plan to not need to do much--but i will be available.

if we get them a signed PO by Monday, our site can be up by next Wednesday [2 days later]. Man i like how fast the private sector can work!

i have calls in to Kevin, Crystal, Patti, and Valerie to find out who in contracts I am supposed to talk to. I hope someone calls me back soon.

I have also attached a document with the GSA contract information, which might help in preparing the PO.
