In fulfillment of my commitment as OI Chief and HQ representative on the ITAC committee, I am forwarding to you a link to the minutes of our last meeting in Montgomery, AL on September 10-12, 2002.

Please don't hesitate to bring IT issues forward that you want discussed from a Discipline perspective at ITAC. The ITAC provides a direct conduit of feedback from the field personnel to the WRD senior staff and the Bureau's Geographic Information Officer (GIO), Karen Siderelis. Both Karen and Kevin Gallagher have expressed an interest in benefiting from the connections ITAC provides to and from the field. ITAC may actually provide a "best practice" the GIO intends to recommend in the bureau. Many of the issues ITAC is addressing now relate to impacts to WRD of bureau IT decisions. to address these and other WRD IT issues, ITAC has conference calls usually the third Friday of months. The next meeting will be in Rapid City, SD. The exact dates are being coordinated currently.
