Water Resources Discipline ITAC Activities

The primary mission of a system administrator (SA) is to ensure that USGS scientists have the computing resources they need to do their science. Among the hundreds of tasks busy SA's daily perform, it can be easy to overlook some priority tasks that are critical to the well being of the USGS computing infrastructure and ultimately to the support of USGS science. This [note] identifies some of these priority tasks. It is by no means a complete list of critical SA tasks, but is intended as a reminder that these tasks are among the duties of a diligent SA.
