Your email below to Cost Center Chiefs spells out very clearly what the policy is on this topic. We agree that this is an important element in improving our IT security. What seems to be not adequately addressed is that this is a difficult policy to implement universally in a short time without significantly hampering the science work of many of our field people, and so a need for suggestions on how to do it.. As we reviewed the membership of the GS-I-IT Security Steering Committee lotus abbreviation, it appears that nearly all of the members represent a GIO perspective with very little field representation. We believe that if you added field representatives to your team that a memo like this would also include suggestions for how to practically implement it with a minimum of impact on work in our cost centers. Thank you for considering our recommendation. Please contact us if you have any questions. We would like to have a response back from you on this topic of field representation.
