• Akimi -- ITAC will contact Jill McCarthy regarding cost.

• NC is in progress moving to NATWEB. Nelson wants to report
on the progress of his moving to NATWEB. E.g. NC is getting ready to unplug its local web server.
• Need a lot of time on the Feb. ITAC agenda for the web content topic.
• CA, NM, SC have made the move to NATWEB.
• Bureau has embraced NATWEB
• WRD is prototyping natweb
• ITAC should address what is not working on NATWEB.
• AKIMI is good for programs, like the earthquake program, etc. but not for the daily routine programs.
• NWISWeb needs to move to NATWeb.

If Susan wants this to be an agenda item at the Feb. meeting, then we can add this to the agenda. Agenda item is to include the status of 4_2 stability with respect to move to NATWEB

• What needs to be resolved with NATWeb ?

Action Item (Dec2002.01):   Jessie Alvarez and Katherine Lins will talk to Susan Trapanese and Lorna Schmid to produce a communication (memo, cyber seminar). to include an overview of the deployment of NWISWeb onto NATWeb. The audience for this communication would be site administrators, web masters and NWIS DBAs.

• Administrative Information System ITAC representative was taken off ITAC membership.
• ITAC communication with GIO office -- focus on WRD issues
• WRD senior staff was reluctant to have a ITAC member or ex-officio member outside of WRD, say in the GIO
• Katherine Lins will have Regional Hydrologists review ITAC Charter.
• Sandy Williamson comments that also ITAC identifies and address emerging IT issues
• Change "prepare strategic plans" to "plan strategically"
• Leadership

• Discussion ensued about the roles and terms of Chair and Co-Chair.
• In the past, Chair served one year.
• Recently, the Chair is serving two years.
• A chair elected in January for one year.
• A co-chair appointed / elected in January for one year.
• Put ITAC Charter on the agenda for February
