• $2.0 million for servers (50 at $40K each)

• $0.9 million for work stations (300 at $3K each)

• Replace hardware that is non-Y2K compliant or for which Y2K-compliant software is not available

• Recommendations

• 1. Districts buy SUNs for NWIS and AIS databases

• 2. If SUN already available, buy NT
